On 5 June, Vojvodina Metal Cluster (VMC) held a project opening event together with a press conference in Temerin, Serbia, in which our cluster participated.

-‘We are very pleased to announce that our project ITC Mind - “Innovation and Technology Centre for Metal Industry” was officially launched earlier this week at a conference in Temerin, Serbia!’ said Zoran Pekez, the manager of Vojvodina Metal Cluster.
The event was attended by over 100 people, including journalists, provincial and municipal officials, representatives of partners, research and development institutions, universities, clusters, business associations and companies.
The project partners presented the idea and concept of the project and talked about EU support and the expansion of cross-border business relationships. In addition, they encouraged the ones in present to participate actively in the project and contribute to its implementation.
The participants of the application would like to encourage the training of those who intend to be employed in the Hungarian and Serbian shortage professions. In course of the implementation of the project, the students (high school students and adult learners) of Déri Miksa Secondary and Vocational School of Szeged Vocational Training Centre and the Education Centre of Novi Sad will be trained to become professional welders.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen innovation through the participation of SMEs and young people, and through cooperation between research institutions. A new employment program is also being developed, enabling small and medium-sized enterprises to grow faster in metal industry, provide more efficient and skilled workforce to become more competitive in adapting to new technologies, processes and services, in collaboration with ITC generating innovations.
