Held in 12 pavilions at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center, this year’s event attracted more than 112,000 trade visitors from 173 countries. The 4,400 exhibitors from 80 countries covered the full spectrum of automotive services, retail, and parts supply. Among this year’s key themes, the application of artificial intelligence in the automotive industry, the development of software-controlled and connected vehicles, and the growing prevalence of driver-assistance systems and alternative powertrains played a prominent role. In addition to this diverse range of topics, representatives of the Archenerg-Metál Cluster placed particular emphasis on sustainability and a holistic view of the entire vehicle life cycle.
The 2026 trade show saw significant Hungarian successes not seen in a long time: a total of 18 Hungarian companies exhibited, and approximately 600–800 domestic decision-makers, middle managers, and senior executives visited the venue. As part of the HEPA community booth, the Archenerg-Metál Cluster had the opportunity to showcase the capabilities of domestic metal and automotive industry suppliers. Márk Ponácz, project manager representing the Archenerg-Metál Cluster, shared his thoughts.
“The event was an enormous success for the cluster. The exhibition provided an excellent platform for building international connections, identifying industry trends, and attracting potential new clients,” said Márk Ponácz, project manager of the Archenerg-Metál Cluster.
Automechanika was not just about business negotiations but also about professional networking. In addition to the massive pavilions, the outdoor demonstrations and evening programs added to the event’s appeal. After long workdays, the casual Happy Hour concerts and events created the ideal atmosphere for deepening existing partnerships. The Archenerg-Metál Cluster’s presence in Frankfurt once again demonstrated that the Hungarian supplier industry and the expertise of the cluster’s members hold a stable, recognized position in the international automotive market.
