The prestigious event brought together the most influential decision-makers, researchers, and corporate players from the European construction sector, sustainable built environment, and energy-efficient building industry. The main objective was to define future international research and development directions and to align EU funding resources. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for the Archenerg-Metal Cluster to integrate its domestic and regional experience into the European mainstream, as well as to gain first-hand insights into the latest technological trends and funding opportunities.
One of the most significant moments of the event was the direct consultation with the organization's top management. Our representative held a personal, bilateral meeting with Anastasiya Yurchyshyna, Secretary General of ECTP, who is also an accomplished R&D Consultant, Analyst, and Researcher. During the discussions with the Secretary General, key topics were addressed, such as potential joint R&D projects and the establishment of consortium partnerships between the member companies of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster and European research centers.
In addition, a strong emphasis was placed on the green transition and energy efficiency, with particular regard to the practical implementation of EU directives aimed at decarbonizing the built environment, as well as the domestic adaptation of international best practices and innovations in the metal and construction industries.
Regarding the meeting, Dr. András Fenyvesi highlighted that active presence in European networks like the ECTP is essential for domestic cluster members to remain competitive in the international market.
The consultations in Brussels clearly confirmed that the innovative and sustainable direction represented by the Archenerg-Metal Cluster aligns perfectly with European strategic goals. Alongside the professional program of the event, Brussels, as the hub of European decision-making, provided an inspiring environment for networking. The discussions initiated on-site can define the cluster's international strategy in the long run and open substantial opportunities for member companies to successfully access direct Brussels funds, Horizon Europe calls, and pan-European projects.
