Focus on Built Heritage and Ecology

From October 7 to 31, the event brings the latest trends in sustainable architecture, renewable energy sources, and the ecological approach to Szeged. The central theme explores how to create a harmonious unity between built heritage and natural values in response to the challenges of the age of climate change.

Why This is Important for the Cluster

The Archenerg-Metal Cluster participates in the event as a strategic partner. The Cluster considers the dissemination of energy-conscious, sustainable architectural solutions to be its core mission. The innovative technologies, climate design tools, and system house optimizations presented here all contribute to increasing the efficiency of the domestic construction industry and strengthening energy independence. The event provides an excellent platform for knowledge sharing between industry professionals and the general public.

Featured Professional Days: October 7 and 8

The two featured professional days of the conference will provide a detailed insight into the most current topics.

Additional prominent speakers for the professional days include:

  • Elemér Szalma, President of the Water Habitat Protection Section of the MHE, will present on both days: onOctober 7, he will showcase the unconventional rehabilitation of the Bite-szék (salt lake), and on October 8, he will focus on engineering structures.

  • Péter Monostory, architectural engineer, will provide examples ofecological building in the afternoon program on October 7.

  • The topic ofurban farming will be discussed by  Mihály Bóka, retired engineer, with an outlook on the energy consumption possibilities of passenger car traffic.

  • Erzsébet Baloghné Pataki, mechanical engineer (ÖKO-CENTRUM), will address the mysterious question of the"House Organ" on October 8.

  • Péter Fritz, chartered mechanical engineer, energy consultant, and Vice-President of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster, will explore the question of the effect of the physical parameters of hemp houses on thermal comfort.

The presentations thus cover a broad spectrum, including architectural solutions, energy management, and the protection of wetlands.
