Global Climate Risks, Local Responses: The Strategic Role of the Archenerg-Metal Cluster in 2026
Data and diplomatic events in 2026 have made it clear: the global warming limit of 1.5°C has become definitively untenable. According to the Berkeley Earth report, 2025 was the third warmest year on record, and the temperature spikes of the last three years (2023–2025) indicate a drastic acceleration of the process.
Archenerg Review: Government Intervenes in Solar Market, Numerous Utility Bills Affected
After solar panels, batteries are now taking center stage. In early February, the government will launch a HUF 100 billion residential energy storage program, with application details available starting this Thursday. Households can receive a HUF 2.5 million grant by completing a simple 2.5-page form. The goal is to store solar energy that is currently produced but wasted, thereby reducing household vulnerability and the load on the electricity grid. Gábor Czepek, Deputy Minister of Energy and Government Commissioner for Electricity Storage, told Index that the country that solves energy storage now will be the winner of the 2030s.
Shaping Europe's Industrial Future: Successful Participation of Archenerg-Metal Cluster and IKOSZ at the Madrid Summit
A new era for European industry and competitiveness has dawned in Madrid, where the European Clusters Alliance (ECA) hosted its first major flagship conference. The Hungarian cluster community was prominently represented: through the National Federation of Innovative Clusters (IKOSZ), Ágnes Gonda participated in the summit, ensuring that the Archenerg-Metal Cluster and domestic stakeholders received first-hand intelligence on the most critical industrial and funding shifts ahead. On the Bridge of Innovation: The Foundations of the Hungarian-Uzbek Strategic Partnership
The aim of the partnership is to transfer Hungarian innovative knowledge and technology, with a particular focus on solar and geothermal systems, passive house construction, and biomass recycling. The strategy was put into action when a 23-member high-ranking Uzbek delegation visited Hungary, organized by the ArchEnerg–Metál Cluster. During the eleven-day thematic program, a wide spectrum of the Hungarian innovation ecosystem was presented at several national locations, showcasing innovations in research, university education, industrial and agricultural enterprises. This strengthened Uzbek-Hungarian university cooperation (e.g., the establishment of Óbuda University and Inno-Technopark) and explored opportunities for specific joint pilot projects and regional demonstration projects for Hungarian-Uzbek cooperation.
