Dear colleagues,
Within the international LIFE RENOINVEST project, the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia are once again organising a national roundtable on the challenges and opportunities in financing sustainable and energy-efficient renovation of public and private buildings in Slovenia.
The RENOINVEST project identifies challenges and opportunities for sustainable building renovation shared by three Central European countries—Austria, Hungary and Slovenia—based on common historical and economic traditions, similar building typologies and construction-industry culture. For these countries, the project is developing action plans to support smart investment in sustainable building renovation for the period 2025–2030. The project also promotes cross-border cooperation by hosting international events that bring together project partners, experts, national stakeholders and related EU initiatives.
The goal of this national roundtable is to stimulate dialogue among Slovenian stakeholders around three key project proposals that can help address the identified challenges. We will focus on:
Establishing an interministerial umbrella body dedicated to accelerating sustainable construction and renovation.
Mobilising commercial banks to support sustainable and energy renovations.
Raising public awareness about the benefits and urgency of sustainable and energy renovations.
Each topic will be briefly introduced, followed by a good-practice example or possible solution, and then three moderated roundtables with experts and leading decision-makers in Slovenia’s sustainable and energy-renovation field. Participants will share views on how to accelerate the creation of a favourable financial environment for renovating the existing building stock.
Registration is mandatory and will be available at the following link: COMING SOON.
