The RENOINVEST Roundtables serve as a key platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and joint action in support of energy-efficient building renovation across Central and Eastern Europe.

Through a series of national and international events, the initiative brings together policymakers, financial institutions, construction-sector representatives, industry experts, researchers and municipalities to explore innovative financing models, effective policy implementation approaches and practical pathways for accelerating sustainable renovation.

The roundtables are designed to identify viable and scalable financing solutions, bridge the gap between policy ambitions and market implementation, showcase transferable good practices, and strengthen cooperation across governance levels — from local initiatives to European partnerships.

Held in Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and beyond, each roundtable reflects national priorities while contributing to a broader regional vision for advancing sustainable building renovation.

Final Report on the International Roundtables

The final RENOINVEST report on the international roundtables provides a comprehensive overview of the project’s cross-border dialogue process and its main outcomes. It brings together the key lessons, policy messages and practical insights generated through the three international roundtables and accompanying study visits. Particular emphasis is placed on the third and final international roundtable held in Vienna on 13 January 2026, where the RENOINVEST National Action Plans for Austria, Hungary and Slovenia were presented and discussed in connection with the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition. The report highlights the importance of mobilising private finance, strengthening enabling policy frameworks, expanding advisory support structures and promoting scalable renovation solutions across the region. The final report is available here.
