Pilot Cases for Sustainable Renovation

The RENOINVEST pilot cases present real-life examples of sustainable building renovation and innovative financing approaches in Austria, Hungary and Slovenia. They demonstrate how technical renovation solutions, financing schemes and stakeholder cooperation models can be applied in different national and local contexts.

The pilot cases aim to:

  • showcase best practices in sustainable building renovation;
  • test practical financing schemes and stakeholder cooperation models;
  • assess the feasibility, scalability and impact of selected renovation approaches;
  • identify key implementation challenges and enabling factors;
  • generate insights for policy recommendations, replication strategies and long-term renovation action plans.

Each pilot case reflects the specific regulatory framework, market conditions, stakeholder needs and technical characteristics of the participating country, while contributing to the broader RENOINVEST objective of accelerating sustainable renovation investments across Central and Eastern Europe.

The country-specific pilot case documentation for Austria, Hungary and Slovenia is available here.
